A Bit About Us
WHY?
Jack is French-born and raised and lives between southwest France and Mallorca Spain. Tom is based in Mallorca and travels extensively with work. Having a background in rescue diving and backcountry skiing.
We have spent a lot of time testing survival kits, both those bought and those we have designed ourselves. We have streamlined our gear with experience and education. Testing countless fire starting techniques, water preparation techniques, signaling techniques and survival practices with everyday items.
Tom has worked in several industries and educated himself in marketing, accounting, product design, sales and the general practice of business. He did this both through traditional educational channels and with hands on experience. During many conversations with his Dad, Jack asked Tom to impart some of this knowledge. It was at this point that Tom felt he needed to use a less traditional route to education. So he decided that the best way to teach Jack was just to do it. This was the birth of JT Survival.
Jack chose Survival as a business sector, a subject him and his dad. As a project it went through various names and subjects, Jack insisted that the business be in both names as they were both working on it, therefore the Name Jack.Tom SURVIVAL or JT Survival name came from.
One thing they did agree on is that a survival kit is only as good as the one you have with you at all times.

Started practicing survival and bushcraft skills together.
Started rock climbing together and more advanced survival skills
Starting building our own survival kits and doing overnight stays In the bush with just the survival kit.
Came up with the idea that a survival kit should always be carried, not just when departing on a planned trip
First test belts started to arrive and testing of equipment to place into the belt begins
Long term testing of the belts and evolution f products used to ensure the highest quality is achived.
Starting to build the business ready for distribution.
