Father and son team Tom and Jack enjoyed recreational survival training as a bonding experience and a good way to get outdoors. The two enjoyed building survival kits and then taking them out into the bush and testing them to see if they could do overnighters with just the kits. The debate was then born acknowledging the fact that often when you most need a survival kit you don't have it on you. One can have the best survival kit in the world but if it is not with you, it is worthless.
